A marketing strategy is a plan for reaching a specific marketing-related goal. It will take into consideration what your business is currently doing well and what you need to improve on or what is missing.
A digital marketing strategy is a plan that helps you and your business achieve a specific digital goal. You’ll do this via carefully selected online marketing channels. These channels are known as paid, earned and owned media.
A paid channel is when you use paid advertising from places like Google Adwords, Facebook Ads or advertising on someone else’s site that’s in front of your market.
Earned media is when your content or product is shared with other websites. It can be in the form of a guest post, a press mention or people sharing it on social media.
Owned media is an asset you own such as content that you create and publish on your website, blog or share on your podcast.
